And that’s exactly where Mumbai’s property market is headed in 2025. The latest numbers confirm what many of us consultants have been noticing daily: steady growth in overall registrations, and a sharp rise in luxury housing demand.
📊 Mumbai on Track for 1 Lakh Property Registrations
Between January and August 2025, Mumbai recorded 99,869 property registrations, nearly hitting the 1 lakh milestone within just eight months. Compared to the same period last year, this is a 3% increase.
The state treasury also felt the impact, collecting ₹8,854 crore in stamp duty, which is a massive 11% rise from 2024. This tells us:
